Our Impact in 2022
In 2022, MUCOBADI achieved significant successes in various thematic areas. MUCOBADI coordinated and delivered social services, built stakeholder capacity, and established partnerships to support vulnerable children and families.
Skilling programs included life skills education, peer support, and psychosocial care.

Livelihoods Programs Impact
One key aspect of MUCOBADI’s work has been strengthening the skills and resources of caregivers, as well as linking them to higher-value markets. This has helped to improve the economic prospects of these households and has been achieved through training and support programs.
- 6739 households supported to start income generating ventures in 2022.
- 1,3176 caregivers oriented on financial literacy.
- 10,049 caregivers oriented in SPM.
Health Programs Impact
MUCOBADI has partnered with District Health departments and other health providers that include; Faith-based partners, Government and Non-government health facilities and hospitals, Development partners in their various capacities including the District Action centers to strengthen referrals and linkages between households and service providers.
- We provided HIV and violence prevention education to 73% of HIV-negative children.
- The organization has achieved a 100% known status proxy for those being supported.
- 15,579 of 16,281 children being supported have disclosed their HIV status.
- Of these children, 23% are HIV positive, 73% are HIV negative, and 4% have an unknown HIV status.
- All 3,683 children and adolescents living with HIV continued on treatment, including 70 who were traced and returned to care after interrupting treatment.

Our volunteers come from all sorts of backgrounds and we assess each application individually, but you’ll meet our key criteria if you:
- Have at least three years’ experience in your professional field.
- Have a relevant degree or equivalent qualification.
- Pass criminal record and background checks.
- Can commit to the full duration of your placement.
