Health Champions Program

The Health Champions Program empowers volunteers to play an active role in promoting community health and well-being. As a Health Champion, you will collaborate with MUCOBADI’s healthcare professionals to engage in health awareness campaigns, conduct health workshops, and provide guidance on critical health issues such as HIV/AIDS prevention, maternal and child health, and reproductive health. Your efforts will contribute to informed decision-making and positive behavioral change among community members.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Background in healthcare, nursing, or a related field (students or professionals).
  • Strong communication skills to effectively convey health information to diverse audiences.
  • Empathy and cultural sensitivity to address sensitive health topics.
  • Enthusiasm for community engagement and public speaking.
  • Ability to work in a team and adapt to varying community settings.

Practical Experience:

  • Previous involvement in health-related campaigns, workshops, or educational initiatives.
  • Familiarity with health issues prevalent in the community.
  • Experience in organizing and facilitating interactive sessions.

 

WASH Ambassadors Initiative

The WASH Ambassadors Initiative empowers volunteers to be advocates for improved water, sanitation, and hygiene practices within the community.

As a WASH Ambassador, you will participate in awareness campaigns, conduct workshops, and collaborate with local communities to promote proper hygiene behaviors, safe water access, and sanitation practices.

Your role will directly contribute to enhancing community health and well-being.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Passion for promoting hygiene practices and safe water access.
  • Effective communication skills for engaging with diverse community members.
  • Ability to explain complex concepts in a simple and relatable manner.

Rights Advocates and champions’ Network

The Rights Advocates Network provides volunteers with the opportunity to support MUCOBADI’s efforts in addressing rights abuse and violence cases, thereby promoting justice and human rights in society.

As a Rights Advocate, you will work alongside our team to offer legal advice, facilitate community discussions on rights, and empower individuals to access justice. Your commitment will contribute to a more just and equitable society.

  • Background in legal, rights based programs, or related fields.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Empathy and a commitment to promoting human rights.
  • Excellent communication skills for conveying legal information clearly.
  • Ability to navigate complex legal issues in a community context.

  • Involvement in legal aid initiatives, rights based organizations, or community legal education.
  • Understanding of local legal systems and procedures.
  • Experience in facilitating community discussions or workshops.

Livelihoods Catalysts

The Livelihoods Catalysts program empowers volunteers to contribute to poverty reduction and economic empowerment within vulnerable households.

As a Livelihoods Catalyst, you will provide incubation services and trainings in agriculture, post-harvest management, market linkages, financial literacy and income-generating activities.

Your efforts will help families overcome poverty and food insecurity, fostering self-reliance and prosperity.

 

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Agricultural knowledge and expertise in farming practices and financial inclusion services.

  • Ability to teach post-harvest management and income-generating activities.

  • Effective communication skills for facilitating training sessions.

  • Enthusiasm for community engagement and empowerment.

Practical Experience:

  • Involvement in agricultural projects, farming, or related initiatives.

  • Understanding of local farming practices and challenges.

  • Experience in conducting training sessions or workshops.
