In his address, Ambassador Popp highlighted the enduring partnership between the American and Ugandan people, which has flourished for over 61 years. He noted, “Today, this commitment remains strong, with our investment of nearly $1 billion–or nearly 3.7 trillion Ugandan shillings–a year that saves lives, builds resilience in communities, fuels economic growth, and strengthens democratic institutions across all of Uganda’s 146 districts.”

The significance of this celebration extended beyond the commemoration of American independence. It underscored the shared values and collaborative efforts that bind the United States and Uganda. MUCOBADI was honored to participate in this momentous event, reflecting on the impact of our joint endeavors in health, community development, and economic empowerment.
