Training youth in non formal education is an eye opener to self employment that enables one to earn aliving dispite the level of education
21year old Atenge is a resident of Asinge B Osukuru Sub county Tororo district who dropped out of school in senior three due to lack of school fees. MUCOBADI found her miserable, she was hopeless dispite the limited skills she had in hair dressing. She joined Osukuru GIC where she went through different trainings like entreprenurship development later the group members were asked to choose a training course and Atenge opted for hair dressing. She went through the training and was able to learn all kinds of hair styles. She is now self employed and is in position to support herself and the parents because she earns a minimum of 10,000= aday. She plans to expand her business soon.
